Grasmick Wins Award

The Education Commission of the States will give its highest award to Nancy S. Grasmick, Maryland’s superintendent of schools, this summer. The Denver-based group is giving Ms. Grasmick the James Bryant Conant Award for her “outstanding contributions to American education.” Ms. Grasmick has been Maryland’s state superintendent since 1991.
