The Retrospective feature in the print Feb. 13, 2002, issue of Education Week gave an incorrect date. The synopses were from stories in the Feb. 17, 1982, issue of Education Week.

A letter to the editor in the print edition of the Feb. 13 issue contained an incorrect reference to an earlier story, “Math and Science Could Be Big Losers Under New Law.” That story appeared in the Jan. 16, 2002, issue.

A story (“Last N.Y.C. Schools Reopening Near Attack Site”) in the Feb. 6 issue incorrectly identified the Stuyvesant High School Parents’ Association in New York City.

A story (“The GED: New Tests, New Challenges”) in the Jan. 23 issue on changes to the General Educational Development program misidentified a senior research methodologist at the Urban Institute in Washington. He is Duncan Chaplin.

A version of this article appeared in the February 20, 2002 edition of Education Week
