In the “People in the News” column in the Nov. 7, 2001, [print] issue of Education Week, a photo of Gregory C. Malhoit, the director of the Rural Education Finance Center, was incorrectly identified as James W. Kohlmoos, the president of the National Education Knowledge Industry Association.

A Reporter’s Notebook in the same issue on the annual meeting of the National Rural Education Association misspelled the name and city of the national rural teacher of the year. Lois Eve Rodgers teaches in Patagonia, Ariz.

The Commentary by David Haselkorn on Page 34 of the Nov. 14, 2001 [print] issue should have indicated that the views expressed are his own and do not represent those of Recruiting New Teachers Inc., the organization he heads.
