Charlie Parsons is the new president and chief executive officer of the Los Angeles-based Drug Abuse Resistance Education, or DARE America, a national drug-abuse-prevention program for K-12 students.
Mr. Parsons, 60, has been DARE’s executive director and chief operating officer for the past year. He is a former director of the Los Angeles regional office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The DARE curriculum is taught in nearly 80 percent of school districts in the United States.
