Barbara Wasik has been named Temple University’s pnc professor of early-childhood education.
Ms. Wasik is an associate professor in the college of education at Temple in Philadelphia. As the PNC professor, she will study language and literacy development of children in Head Start programs, and work to develop strategies that improve the academic learning of preschool children in urban areas.
The PNC professorship is funded through a $1 million grant from the PNC Foundation, the charitable arm of the Pittsburgh-based PNC Bank.
