Grace Jiang is a visual journalist at Education Week. Prior to joining the newsroom, she covered New York state government as the Capitol bureau correspondent for the Albany Times Union in New York.
Recipient of the 2024-2025 Columbia-Nikkei journalism scholarship, one of Columbia Journalism School’s most prestigious annual awards, Grace also won first prize in the Eric Sevareid Award for multimedia reporting from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association, for a project on anti-Asian hate in Madison. Her work has also earned regional recognition across the Midwest in several categories, including commentary, sports reporting, and feature writing.
Grace studied at the University of Wisconsin–Madison for her undergraduate degree and Columbia University for her Master of Science degree in data journalism.
