Va. Picks Education Secretary
Gov. Bob McDonnell has appointed Laura W. Fornash as Virginia’s new secretary of education, replacing Gerard Robinson, who left this summer to lead Florida’s public education system. Ms. Fornash, who served as interim education secretary, was a deputy secretary under Mr. Robinson.
