Preschool Funding Threatened
The Iowa House of Representatives voted last week to cut $60 million in funding for preschools. The states recently expanded preschool program had been a hot issue during the 2010 election between former Democratic Gov. Chet Culver and new Republican Gov. Terry Branstad, who opposed the spending.
