Study Examines Web-Based Training for Elementary Math Teachers
A Brown University study has examined the strategies used to foster collaboration and mathematical inquiry among elementary school teachers in an online professional-development program.
The study—conducted by the Education Alliance at Brown University, a nonprofit organization that conducts education research and offers technical assistance to schools—explored a strategy called “steering toward others,” in which participants are coached in specific online tactics for addressing similar problems and goals.
