Pascal D. Forgione Jr., director of research and assessment for the Connecticut Department of Education, last week was named executive staff director of the National Education Goals Panel.
The panel, headed by Gov. Roy Romer of Colorado, is expected to report annually on progress toward the national goals set by President Bush and the nation’s governors.
