Ted D. Ward, consultant for the Nebraska Department of Education and the state’s executive secretary of the Future Farmers of America, to state director of agricultural education in the department’s division of vocational education.

Gale T. Bartow, superintendent of the Blue Springs R-IV School District in Blue Springs, Mo., has been elected president-elect of the American Association of School Administrators, effective March 15.

Beverly L. Anderson, director of the assessment and measurement program at the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory, Portland, Ore., to deputy director of the National Assessment of Educational Progress, Denver.

Donald R. Brannon, chief consultant for the research coordinating unit of the division of vocational education for North Carolina’s education department, has been elected president of the American Vocational Education Personnel Development Association.

Robert Jackson Jr., public information officer for the Department of Energy’s Solar Energy Research Institute, Golden, Colo., to director of public affairs for the Education Commission of the States, Denver.

Ralph D. Stern, attorney for San Diego City Schools and chairman of the council of school attorneys of the National School Boards Association, has been elected president-elect of the National Organization on Legal Problems (nolpe).
