So far, the presumptive major-party nominees for president—former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and real estate executive Donald Trump—still haven’t come out with comprehensive K-12 policy plans. But we can still dissect their public statements and records on education as their national party conventions convene, the Republicans in Cleveland July 18-21 and the Democrats in Philadelphia July 25-28.

One point regarding Trump, the Republican: Because he’s never served as an elected official, he doesn’t have a public policy record like Clinton, the Democrat, does, so some of the sections for her in our interactive feature are more extensive. But we hope you still find it useful for both candidates.
