So are you dying to know what is going on behind the scenes at this year’s political conventions but don’t want to brave a hurricane in Tampa or pay nearly $40,000 to rent a house in Charlotte?

Well, not to worry. Politics K-12 has got you covered. I’ll be headed to Tampa on Sunday, covering the Republican convention, along with On Special Education‘s fabulous Nirvi Shah, and my fantastic boss, EdWeek‘s own government and politics editor, Mark Bomster, who edits this blog.

Then, the following week, I’ll be in Charlotte, covering the Democratic convention, with the great Sean Cavanagh of Charters & Choice fame, and the awesome Andrew Ujifusa, who brings you state education developments over at State Ed Watch.

Got any tips for us? Have a burning question we should try to ask someone at the conventions? Want to try and persuade us to join the Ron Paul Revolution? Email me at aklein@epe.org.

What will we be writing about? Check out our coverage from 2008 to get a flavor. And for a real blast from the past, here are the stories Edweek wrote about the 1988 Democratic and GOP conventions.
