As you’ve been reading these last few weeks, Education Week has been all over the education aspects of the campaigns of President Barack Obama and former Gov. Mitt Romney.

Today, Politics K-12’s Alyson Klein chatted with National Public Radio’s “Tell Me More” about the various views and proposals of the two.

“The Republicans would like to see a really robust role for private school choice,” Klein told host Michel Martin. “Certainly that’s the centerpiece of Gov. Romney’s platform.”

She also noted that while Obama has infused American education with cash through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan has proposed sharp cuts to domestic spending, including education.

“We’re going to hear a lot about school choice and funding,” Klein said.

Take a listen.
