A reality-TV star has been hired as the first female high school football head coach in Florida history.
Miami Jackson High School announced last week that Lakatriona Brunson will become the Generals’ new coach. She has gained attention in recent years on the reality series “South Beach Tow.”
The physical education teacher attended Miami Northwestern in the early 1990s. She was a track and field athlete and basketball standout, and went on to play basketball for Tennessee State University. Brunson also played for the Miami Fury women’s football team more than a decade ago.
