Today, PBS LearningMedia, a classroom-resource hub for teachers, announced its 2014 PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovators Program. The program recognizes K-12 educators who are incorporating digital media in their classrooms throughout the United States. The top 100 applicants win a year’s worth of professional development opportunities on teaching in a digital classroom, including virtual trainings, invitations to events, and networking opportunities. The top 15 applicants receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., for a two-day summit on technology in the classroom.
Between today and Feb. 14, 2014, teachers can apply for the program by submitting a one- to two-minute video and answering essay questions that speak to their “leadership in digital learning,” according to a press release. Winners will be announced in March 2014. So, teachers, get those smartphone cameras rolling!
