A summary of the “Principals’ Partnership” 2006 poll is posted by The Principals’ Partnership. (Microsoft Word required.)

Communication between students’ families and their teachers, counselors, and principals is extremely important for students’ academic success, concludes a survey of high school principals.

The Principals’ Partnership, established by the Omaha, Neb.-based Union Pacific Foundation to offer leadership resources to principals in states served by the Union Pacific Railroad, polled nearly 350 principals in 21 states on the three most important actions a family should take to ensure success for a high school student. Sixty-two percent of respondents replied that the most important action would be for the family to maintain regular communication with teachers and administrators.
