An item in the Technology Update in the Nov. 5, 2003, issue of Education Week (“Digital Piracy”) incorrectly identified the organization that has taken legal action against people who have illegally downloaded music from the Internet. It is the Recording Industry Association of America.
An article in the Nov. 19 issue concerning the Pew Charitable Trusts’ decision to become a public charity (“Pew Seeks Flexibility Through New ‘Public Charity’ Status”) incorrectly stated the proportion of its annual budget that the organization can spend on lobbying. Pew will be able to spend up to 5 percent.
