Read “Income of U.S. Workforce Projected to Decline If Education Doesn’t Improve,” published by The National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education.

Americans’ education levels and personal incomes are likely to decline, on average, over the next 15 years, if states do not improve their education programs for all students, a policy report concludes.

The report, from the Washington-based National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education, warns that as the population of undereducated youths rises and baby boomers retire, there will be a general drop in the education level of the workforce at a time when the demand for highly skilled workers will be increasing.
