Joseph South, who directed the federal Office of Educational Technology during President Barack Obama’s administration, has joined the International Society for Technology in Education as the membership organization’s chief learning officer.
Previously, he worked for the online learning company K12 Inc.
Dan Good, the superintendent of the Columbus school district, Ohio’s largest, announced that he will retire from the post by year’s end.
He took on the job in 2013 after retiring as the superintendent of the Westerville district, also in Ohio. Good also worked in the Wooster school system and the Ohio education department.
