States’ Use of Federal Technology Dollars Examined

“National Trends: Enhancing Education Through Technology, No Child Left Behind, Title II D-Year Three in Review” is available from the State Educational Technology Directors Association.

States have been targeting federal technology funds primarily into three areas: increasing student achievement, closing the digital divide, and integrating research-based technology practices into learning, concludes a report from the State Educational Technology Directors Association.

In addition, the report found that more than 40 percent of states were using federal technology dollars to improve reading or mathematics.
