David McCollough, Jr. has a fabulous speech for Wellesley High School Graduates entitled “You are not Special.” I love it.

Audrey Watters’s Hack Education blog turned 2. Hack Education is like this blog, but better.

George Veletsianos has a response to my post on What would You Do with Years of Online Discussion Data. He advocates Open data, which is in theory, absolutely right. In practice, I think he’s underestimating the challenges of anonymizing unstructured data (like discussion threads) and the risks to junior scholars of going out on these limbs. We need the tenured folks to lead here. Anyway, a very productively provocative post. I like arguing.
