Living Lessons

The George Hall Elementary School in Mobile, Ala. doesn’t waste time with field trips. Instead, the school uses them to bring classroom lessons to life.

These 1st graders tried out the witness box and the judge’s chair
at the Federal Court building in Mobile.

During a visit in Montgomery, the 4th graders recognized Alabama
Governor Bob Riley coming down the Capitol steps.

On a visit to the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery, 5th graders
learned about Alabama’s key role in the civil rights movement.
