Mary E. Dilworth is the new vice president for higher education initiatives and research at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
Before joining the NBPTS, Ms. Dilworth worked for the Washington-based American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education for 15 years, most recently as a senior vice president.
The NBPTS, based in Arlington, Va., operates a program of voluntary national certification for teachers.
