Marguerite W. Sallee was recently named the president and chief executive officer of America’s Promise, The Alliance for Youth.

Ms. Sallee, 58, previously served as a special assistant to U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and as the staff director of the Senate Subcommittee on Children and Families.
The Alexandria, Va.-based America’s Promise is a nonprofit organization that promotes character education and community service.
