The National Center for Education Statistics will conduct a first-of-its-kind study on the condition of Indian education, focusing on Native Americans’ and Alaska Natives’ academic achievement in the 4th and 8th grades and their overall educational experiences. The study will be conducted next year, with results expected in 2006.
