More than 80 percent of 18- to 25-year-olds cite getting rich as the most important or second most important life goal for their generation, compared with 62 percent of 26- to 40-year-olds, a survey by the Washington-based Pew Research Center has found.
The younger adults were also more likely to rank fame as the most important or second most important goal in life than the older adults—51 percent, compared with 29 percent. The center surveyed 1,500 people, almost 600 of them ages of 18 to 25.
