A new Web page for parents and families has been added to the U.S. Department of Education’s website.
The page is a central repository for information relevant to this educational constituency from across ED.gov.
Topics include Section 1118 of Title I, special education, fatherhood, school choice and parental options, early learning, military families, and bullying.
Tools for selecting a college and paying for it are also listed.
Free teaching and learning resources from across the federal government are available via a link to FREE.ED.gov, the Federal Resources for Educational Excellence website, where users can access information about art, science, math, language arts, history, social studies, and health.
The office of communications and outreach produced the new parent page with input from the department’s parent-outreach intra-agency team. The new page also contains contact information for the family-engagement specialists in regional communications and outreach offices.
