District-Employee Retirement Plans

In response to recent U.S. Internal Revenue Service policy changes regarding retirement plans for public school district employees, the American Association of School Administrators has produced an informational “toolkit” to help school administrators oversee those programs.

Because school districts may be fined or penalized for mismanaging their employees’ retirement accounts, the Arlington, Va.-based AASA is mailing the toolkits to every superintendent in the nation for free this year.

The toolkit includes a wall chart demonstrating steps toward implementing a school retirement program with a glossary of terms and a CD-ROM.
