A story in the Jan. 18, 2017, issue of Education Week about states’ freedom to set their own goals under the Every Student Succeeds Act misspelled the name of Michigan’s deputy education superintendent, Venessa A. Keesler.

In that same issue, a story about Advanced Placement exam fees misspelled the name of Jason Helfer, Illinois’ deputy superintendent for teaching and learning.

A story about high school testing in Education Week’s Quality Counts report, published Jan. 4, 2017, misspelled the name of Michelle Exstrom, the education program director at the National Conference of State Legislatures.
