An article on student coursetaking (“Quantity of Coursework Rises Since 1983") in the April 23, 2003, issue of Education Week gave a wrong title for a study by Clifford Adelman. The correct title is “Answers in the Tool Box: Academic Intensity, Attendance Patterns, and Bachelor’s Degree Attainment.”
A news brief “Legislators in Alaska Agree ‘No Child’ Law Poses Problems”) in the State Capitals section of the May 7 issue should have explained that a resolution on the impact of the “No Child Left Behind” Act of 2001 was approved by both chambers of the Alaska legislature.
