An article in the Jan. 12, 2005, issue of Education Week (“Ethics Issues Snare School Leaders”) named the wrong employer for Janet Aikele when she was the head of school for the Idaho Virtual Academy. The correct employer was K12 Inc. In addition, Ms. Aikele was a district education official in Idaho, not a state education official. Further, the Butte County school board granted a charter to the Idaho Virtual Academy, not directly to K12 Inc.
