Correction

A story in the March 31, 2004, issue of Education Week about efforts to meet the test-participation mandate in the federal No Child Left Behind Act included an incorrect statistic (“Schools Seek Participation on Test Days”). For last school year, 187 Georgia schools did not make “adequate yearly progress” under federal law solely because they fell short of the required participation level. The Georgia Department of Education provided an incorrect figure.
