A story in the Jan. 15, 2003, issue of Education Week about rising midyear registrations for the ACT and SAT college-entrance exams (“Entrance Tests See Fall Boom in Registrants”) appeared to suggest that the SAT represents a majority of Kaplan Inc.'s overall test-preparation business. While the SAT represents a majority of Kaplan’s precollege test-preparation business, graduate school exams and professional-licensing exams constitute the bulk of the New York City-based company’s test-preparation business overall.
