Christopher Cerf has been appointed the deputy chancellor for organizational strategy, human capital, and external affairs for the 1.1 million-student New York City public schools. Mr. Cerf is currently a partner in the Public Private Strategy Group, a Montclair, N.J.-based consulting firm that advises school districts on improvement strategies.
