As much as I’ve enjoyed writing about early-childhood education, I’m moving on to new challenges.

There are many important issues to watch on the early-childhood front. Funding for preschool programs and full-day kindergartens is at risk in these difficult economic times; universal access to prekindergarten will be a hot campaign issue this fall; and the upcoming debate over the Elementary and Secondary Education Act reauthorization will address how early-childhood education should be incorporated into federal policies—and funding.

So even though I won’t be writing about these issues anymore for this blog, I hope you’ll check back here soon. A new blogger will shortly be picking up where I left off.

Goodbye.
