St. Paul Chief Moving On

Comments Meria Carstarphen, the superintendent of the St. Paul, Minn., school district, has accepted a job as the superintendent of schools in Austin, Texas. The Austin school board last week voted to name her the lone finalist for the job to succeed Pat Forgione. Ms. Carstarphen says she plans to remain as the St. Paul superintendent through the end of the school year.
