The Clayton County, Ga., public schools are now fully accredited, after losing that status in 2003 because of school board members’ meddling in daily operations. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools said this month that the 50,000-student district has improved, and praised its hiring of Superintendent Barbara Pulliam after a national search.
