REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS
Nov. 30--Education finance: Proposals are due for the New Scholars Program, sponsored by the National Center for Education Statistics and the American Education Finance Association. The program is intended to interest recent college graduates and master's and doctoral students in conducting research in education finance using NCES databases. Contracts for $5,000 will be awarded for up to four doctoral scholars who are members of the AEFA and who have received or will receive a doctoral degree between Jan. 1, 1995, and Dec. 31, 1998. Contracts for $3,000 will be awarded for up to four predoctoral scholars who are members of the AEFA and who are currently enrolled in a doctoral program, or who have received or will receive a master's degree in that same time frame.
