That’s straight off the BlackBerry of Gene Wilhoit, the executive director of the Council of Chief State School Officers, who’s here in Detroit at the group’s annual conference on student assessment. (Don’t worry, I’m not snooping. He was nice enough to show me the list.)
Wilhoit told the gathering here that their state outreach suggests that the standards will be adopted in 31 states by Aug. 2 (the deadline specified for maximum points in Race to the Top), and in 41 states by the end of the calendar year.
