Thanksgiving Inspiration for America’s Teachers

First-year U.S. history teacher Luisana Regidor recently told NPR that other teachers warned her that starting out could be rough. In September, she was full of ideas and energy. Later in the semester, however, it quickly became a different story.

"[S]ix weeks in, it happened,” said Regidor. " ... I definitely felt like I should probably throw in the towel and do something else.”

This time of year is notoriously tough for teachers, especially those who feel their efforts are not being appreciated.
