Study: Low Salaries Leave Many Child-Care Workers Near Poverty

Twenty-five years after a report showed the extent of the low pay among child-care workers, an updated analysis shows that despite some improvement, many of these workers are still struggling to make ends meet—even as research has found growing evidence of the importance of the early years. Early education advocates say they will use the findings as a rallying cry.
