Using Storytelling to Teach Spatial Relations in Early Math (Video)

Allyson Krogmann Jordan, an early learning coach in the Santa Monica-Malibu school district, uses storytelling to engage her students in a math lesson about spatial relations. After a read aloud, students are asked to draw characters from the story. Then, students replicate a design from the story with blocks.
