Does Louisiana’s Career Diploma Option Lower Standards?

When Louisiana lawmakers approved a “career diploma” option for high school students, it prompted a backlash that the new pathway would lower standards by allowing students to skirt some of the more rigorous courses of study. (See my blog posts here, here and here.)
