Two students died in a shooting at a high school in Glendale, Ariz., Friday morning.
The victims, both 15-year-old girls, were shot on a patio outside the school, multiple media outlets reported.
The school is on lockdown, but police said the shooting occurred on “an isolated area of campus and was not an active-shooter incident,” the Arizona Republic reported.
“There is no danger to the school or community at this time,” Glendale Police Sgt. David Vidaur said in a statement.
Polie had not released any information about a suspected shooter or motive Friday afternoon. From CNN:
A weapon was found near the bodies, [Officer Tracey ] Breeden said. When reporters asked whether this was a homicide-suicide or a double suicide, Breeden said she 'can't confirm anything,' but she said investigators don't believe any shooter is at large."
