Authorities say the single victim of a shooting this week at a high school in North Las Vegas, Nev., was an 18-year-old student.
Dalvin Brown, police said, had an altercation with a person before he was shot at Canyon Springs High School. Authorities say they have not identified the suspect, who fled before officers arrived.
Fewer than 500 students were participating in athletics and other after-school activities at the school when the shooting occurred, prompting a lockdown. The young man was found shot on the edge of the school’s baseball field.
