In recognition of Attendance Awareness Month, join Urbana School District #116, Racine Unified School District, and Panorama Education for an in-depth conversation on rethinking chronic absenteeism through the lens of school and district leadership.

We’ll explore what chronic absenteeism reveals about the student experience and explore how to leverage AI and real student data—from individual attendance trends to district-wide patterns—to challenge attendance assumptions, better understand holistic student needs, and implement proactive strategies that improve attendance and engagement.

Together, we will:

  • Understand the root causes of absenteeism, including national trends, common myths, and their implications for school and district leaders
  • Identify the student-level and school-wide attendance data to inform targeted interventions, strengthen student belonging, and support re-engagement
  • Share AI tools and research-based actionable strategies to promote attendance at both Tier 1 (universal supports) and Tier 2 (targeted interventions) levels
