Education Week‘s coverage of district leadership takes a number of forms, from stories on specific leaders or districts attempting innovative things to commentaries and blogs that address broader ideas and issues in leadership.

We’ve pulled together a number of these stories in a new package called a “Spotlight on School and District Leadership.” It’s a free download featuring a number of pieces by our reporters, including the regular author of this blog, Christina Samuels, all focused on district leadership. A few of the topics:

  • Preparing and training school principals for the Common Core State Standards
  • Rebuilding a school district from the ground up
  • Reshaping the work hours and job duties of superintendents
  • Developing leadership and training programs for charter schools

There are also great spotlights on other topics—worth browsing through if you haven’t already.
