The National Center for Family Literacy will host a free webinar on Monday, June 13, to launch free online resources designed to help parents with limited schooling support their children to go to college. The live event is scheduled to take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Eastern time. (Update: The webinar will provide a demonstration of the tools, which will be released on Tuesday.)

The center has a focus right now on supporting family literacy programs for Latino families, so the online tools have been created with them in mind.

I wrote earlier this year about the center’s literacy program, underwritten by the Toyota Motor Corp., in a Washington, D.C., elementary school that had adopted it.
