The importance of teacher effectiveness to school success is well-recognized. But how can schools—and groups of educators—create the conditions for more effective teaching? In this chat, experts associated with the National Commission on Teaching and America’s Future will share insights and answer questions on promising strategies for organizing schools for successful teaching, including professional-learning communities, project-based learning, and partnerships with outside content experts.

This chat will draw on findings and ideas presented at NCTAF’s Good Teaching Summit, a gathering of educators and policymakers to be held in Washington earlier on the same day. Join us to share your own experiences with teacher-improvement initiatives.

Melinda George, president, National Commission on Teaching & America’s Future
